What is a Butterfly Release?

Each spring, we remember loved ones with a live butterfly release, symbolizing our lasting love and the renewal of the season. We’re honoring loved ones who are gone from our sight, but not from our hearts.


Crafts and Activities

Join our Grief Counselors in creating FREE spring-themed crafts and keepsake reminders of this special day! Special gift for kids who wear their favorite butterfly-themed attire or costume.

Is there a memorial program?

Yes, the event will begin with family-friendly activities, followed by a memorial ceremony.

Where do we release the butterflies?

You may pick up your butterflies to release on-site and join us for the community memorial ceremony, or you may take your butterflies with you to release at home.

What do the funds support?

When you participate, you are also helping Alive’s patients and families write a special final chapter together. Each purchased butterfly supports our nonprofit services, including grief counseling, community education, and financial aid.
