**Adults must accompany all children during the program.

Do I need to attend with my child?

Yes, it is required that all parents or guardians stay with their children the entire program time.

Are snacks provided?

Yes, snacks will be provided for the children attending the program. If your child has a food allergy or food sensitivities, Please contact the Boyd County Extension Office at 606-739-5184 or email jacqueline.doucet@uky.edu.

What if there is no school in Boyd County due to weather?

If Boyd County schools are canceled due to weather, the Laugh and Learn program will also be canceled. A makeup date may be added if the schedule permits.

What ages does Laugh and Learn cover?

Laugh and Learn is geared towards children ages 0-5. Older children are welcome to attend, but activities, crafts, and toys are geared toward a younger audience.

What is Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS)?

FCS stands for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension. FCS programming focus on building assets of individuals and families to address problems faced across the lifespan. Family and Consumer Sciences Extension emphasizes well-being with a focus on human development, parenting, resource management, nutrition, health and leadership development.

At the community level, FCS Extension prepares individuals for community and economic development and activity. Professionals in Family and Consumer Sciences Extension provide the tools to help individuals and families to develop resources for strengthening families and building community for an ever changing society.
