Hardpoint: Mixer

A Hardpoint mixer is a relaxed and friendly way to meet other folks in the NYC Shibari/rope/bondage community. As a PG-13 event, we think it's a great space to simply hang out and get to know people outside of a play environment. For those looking to potentially join Hardpoint as members, this also gives you an opportunity to meet the team and other potential references. We'll have a few games and icebreaker activities, and guardians will be present with glowing arm bands to keep an eye on things.

Note: There will be no rope or bondage play allowed during the mixer - this one's just for mingling!

Membership: Our play parties require membership, but this event does not require membership approval! If you're interested in becoming a member for our private events, please fill out our membership application. Membership is completely free and only for vetting purposes.

Ticketing: There will be no tickets sold at the door - all attendees must purchase them through Eventbrite. If you have been specifically uninvited from Hardpoint events, please do not try to attend this event.

Dress code: There's no enforced dress code, but we recommend all black or something nice. A bit of kinky flair is always welcome.

Bar: This event is BYOB and we encourage folks to stick with beer, wine and seltzers. A bartender will be available to pour and store your drinks. DO NOT GET DRUNK. This is not the place to get overly intoxicated—and doing so can get you dropped from our membership.

Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to work the door and bar and to guardian at this event. To volunteer, please reach out to hardpoint@hitmeupnyc.com.

BIPOC Equity Ticketing: The full fee reflects the true costs of running the event, including supplies and compensating facilitators for their labor. If you are able to afford a full price ticket without experiencing financial hardship, please choose this option. For those who identify as BIPOC and/or those who cannot afford a full fee ticket, you are welcome to select "BIPOC EQUITY" at checkout.

Consent Policy: This is an ASK FIRST event and the rules of respectful and consensual behavior WILL be enforced. You will be responsible for reading the policy and behaving appropriately. Covid Safety: Please stay home if you are feeling ill or if you have had recent close contact with someone who tested Covid positive (within the past 5 days). You could be incubating and still test negative. Any requests for refunds for any reason will be honored up to the day of the party. What is Hardpoint?

Hardpoint is a kink/sex+ group hosting play parties and events focused on rope and other bondage play. Our play parties are designed to give people the chance to do more with their scenes - whether you're looking for sexier rope or just straight up sex rope, we encourage creativity and maximalism. We also strive to create volume-conscious spaces that prioritize safety and comfort, especially for those who avoid tying at other events due to excessive noise levels.
