Designing Spaces Through Cultural Storytelling and Biophilia

Designing Spaces Through Cultural Storytelling and Biophilia

Overview

This lecture explores how interior spaces can incorporate nature-centered aesthetics while telling meaningful cultural stories.

What makes a space feel like home? How can a room carry your culture, your family, and your story? This month, Kenzie Perry of Ze Haus Design Studio shows how to create intentional, nature-centered interiors that tell cultural stories. Using real projects she's designed, Kenzie will walk through how color, pattern, art, and materials come together to give a space a strong sense of place. She'll also cover biophilia, the idea that we thrive when our spaces keep us connected to the natural world.

Get hands-on: After the talk, you'll build your own designer mood board to guide how you shape your own space at home. Magazines will be provided. Bring a few personal photos (family, travel, nature, anything that feels like you) to make it yours.
