How many tickets are there?

Our max capacity is 100. We made half the tickets available online. After the online advanced tickets are gone, there will still be 50 seats available at the door on a first-come basis. We are NOT SOLD OUT!

Why are you doing this? What's it all about?

Queer Bingo is a fundraiser for the bill mcknight Legacy Scholarship, which provides financial assistance for LGBTQ+ college students from Kitsap County. In the past three years we've raised over $13,000, and area merchants have donated over $6,000 in bingo prizes.

It's a costume event? Do I have to dress up?

Costumes are *not* required, but we encourage them. If you do want to wear that fabulous costume you've been working on forever, we will have a costume contest--with prizes!

How much does it cost?

Bingo is $20, which includes three cards for every game, and we should get through eight or nine games during the evening. Raffle tickets are $5 each and there will be multiple raffles.

Do you take credit cards?

We accept cash, major credit cards, and Apple Pay/Google Pay.

Will there be food or drinks?

Accepted Answer

There will be a snack bar offering chips, cookies, and soft drinks. Get any two items for $5. No alcohol will be served and none is allowed in the building.

What about parking?

Parking near the Senior Center is free but space is limited. Park anywhere in the Winslow area and it's a short walk to the Senior Center

Besides bingo, what else happens?

In addition to prizes for bingo winners, we have several raffles and a costume contest with multiple winners. You can also expect spontaneous dancing, singing, and general merriment.

I'm not LGBTQ. Can I still attend?

Absolutely! All are welcome, including queer and trans people, family members, partners, and allies.

Who are the people behind this?

The Queer Elders Family Group, which is an affinity group of the Bainbridge Island Senior & Community Center, are the hosts and sponsors. Rainbow Crew NW is providing logistics and project management support.

I can't be there but I still want to help. How can I contribute?

Queer Bingo is a scholarship fundraiser. All the money raised from playing bingo, snack sales, and raffle tickets goes into the bill mcknight Legacy Scholarship fund. You can make a donation to the fund through our Givebutter link, https://givebutter.com/5mctp6.
