Known for music that can move from hushed and intricately constructed to volatile and dissonant, Maguire’s songs resist easy resolution, balancing melody, abrasion, vulnerability, and unpredictability.
The duo of DoYeon Kim & Steve Long brings together Kim’s virtuosic and exploratory approach to the gayageum with Long’s expansive approach to improvisation and sound. Jolee Gordon will open the evening.
