Professional Special Education guidance for parents & educators. Live 60-minute Zoom Office Hours with Dr. Zoee.
Office Hours with Dr. Zoee
Professional guidance for parents, educators, and professionals who are serious about improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities.
Navigating Special Education can be overwhelming. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming IEP meeting, trying to understand your rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), or looking for practical strategies to better support a student, you don't have to navigate the process alone.
Join Dr. Zoee Bartholomew, professor, behavior specialist, and Special Education consultant, for a live 60-minute Zoom Office Hours session designed to provide expert guidance, practical strategies, and collaborative problem-solving.
Unlike a webinar or presentation, Office Hours is an interactive group discussion where participants have the opportunity to learn from one another while receiving guidance from an experienced professional with more than 30 years of experience supporting students, families, schools, and educational organizations.
What You Can Expect
During each session, participants are encouraged to bring one primary Special Education question or topic for discussion. Questions may include topics such as:
• Understanding the IEP process
• Preparing for IEP meetings
• IDEA rights and procedural safeguards
• Behavior intervention and positive behavior supports
• Accommodations and modifications
• School communication strategies
• Inclusion and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
• Transition planning
• Special Education compliance
• General questions related to supporting students with disabilities
Because this is a live group session, many participants discover that someone else's question is one they didn't know they needed answered.
How Office Hours Work
Office Hours is conducted live via Zoom and is designed as a collaborative learning experience.
Participants will:
- Learn directly from Dr. Zoee's professional expertise
- Have the opportunity to ask one primary question
- Gain practical strategies they can immediately apply
- Learn from the questions and experiences of other attendees
- Build confidence in navigating Special Education systems
This is not a one-on-one consultation, case review, advocacy meeting, or legal consultation. Questions are answered in a group setting for educational purposes, allowing everyone to benefit from the discussion.
Participants requiring individualized support, document reviews, meeting attendance, or case-specific recommendations are encouraged to schedule a private consultation separately.
