Birds & Biscuits - The Buttonbush Farm and Nursery

Join Us for Birds & Biscuits at Buttonbush Farm & Nursery

This is the first stop of the Birds & Biscuits Tour - a multi-site birding brunch series visiting working farms and community green spaces across the greater Chattanooga region.

The Buttonbush stop takes place across two connected properties. We'll begin at Eden's Harvest Permaculture Farm, exploring aquatic and forest habitats on a slow guided walk. From there we move to Buttonbush Farm & Nursery, where a Southeastern meadow-in-progress and woodland's edge round out the habitat picture. Two farms, three habitats, one morning.

We'll use the Merlin Bird ID and eBird apps to identify and document birds together, contributing to a growing regional community science record. No birding experience needed - just curiosity and comfortable shoes.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes
• Water bottle
• Phone with eBird and Merlin apps downloaded (free)
• Binoculars (loaners available courtesy of the Tennessee Aquarium S.T.R.E.A.M. Learning Center)
• Notebook for observations (optional)
