Will you convince my kid to get an axolotl?

I always tell kids that axolotls are a big responsibility and that I first wanted one when I was 10, but waited until I was a grown up to actually get one. I don't want parents to feel pressured at all.

Are the axolotls available for adoption?

Accepted Answer

Gray polka dot baby axolotls are available for adoption. They are $60 and come with 4 free live aquarium plants to decorate their tanks with. They're 1 year old!

What ages can participate?

The workshop is for everyone and recommended for ages 5 and up. Kids and adults are both welcome to come meet the axolotls!

How do you care for an axolotl?

Accepted Answer

Axolotls live 10-15 years and need a tank that's at least 30 gallons, with a filter. They can't have fish or gravel. Aquatic plants are great enrichment for axolotls. Axolotls eat axolotl kibble every other day. Once a week, they get the algae scraped off the tank walls and the debris sucked out.

How long can my succulent stay in its containers?

It should be good to grow for a year or two. After that, you can either move it to a slightly larger container, or replace the potting soil in its current container for a fresh start.

Do you do birthday parties?

Yep! The prices are the same as workshop pricing, and you get an extra 30 minutes so there's time for cake and pizza.
