The Collective will present works that span the far reaches of storytelling through theatre and music (sometimes both) while commenting on the human experience.The Collective would like you to attend a staged reading of...Killing It by Rebecca KaneDirected by Emily JeppesenSynopsis:Emerging stand-up comedian Jon is set to be featured in local reporter Rachel’s article about the intersection of comedians and trauma. He has his best friend and roommate, fellow comedian Andy, to lead him through it and work with him on new jokes. Everything seems to be working out… too bad Andy’s been dead for months.CONTENT WARNINGS This play frequently discusses trauma, abuse, and suicide. There are several instances of blood. May 14thPearl Studios, 1209Doors open at 6:45pmReading begins at 7:00pm The Icebreaker Series is dedicated to new works in progress. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback directly following the reading.To keep theater as accessible as possible, PTC has adopted a tiered ticketing system. All proceeds raised from ticket sales will go directly to the playwright.As always, concessions are by donation.
