Overview

Guided discussion groups aiming to engage the community on complex legal & social topics associated with stalking, and to answer questions.

This group is intended to offer a safe space for victims, bystanders, and providers to ask questions regarding stalking. We will learn about legal issues facing our community and understand more about its complexities, including the lack of agreement regarding terminology and how that impacts research and legislation.

We hope to cover a number of topics over the next few months, including such topics as:

  • Myths
  • Media
  • Tips.... and more.

Disclaimer:

We are not a legal or mental health organization; we do not provide direct services in such areas. We are not providing advice, only summaries of available research and tips based on our 15 years of experiences. We can provide feedback on safety plans, tips and strategies, as well as policies and advocacy.

Please note:

  • You are not required to partcipate, or to have your camera on.
  • Pictures and video clips from this group may be used for social media or training purposes. We cannot guarantee privacy for any participants.
  • This will be the last "Coffee & Chat" of this style, we will be offering this format in a new quarterly group during the weekday called "Lunch & Learn". This group will focus instead on supporting victims and our community, answering questions, and general discussion.
