Journalists are under attack globally. The physical risks have gotten a lot of attention, but the digital ones are still mysterious to many. In this session, you will learn how to keep your sources, your colleagues, your family and yourself safe. Journalism cybersecurity expert Runa Sandvik, former senior director of information security at the New York Times and founder of the journalism-focused security consultancy Granitt, will speak about tools you can use, techniques for thinking about cyber risks, and which tools to apply when. Pre-registration strongly advised! The first 100 students to arrive will receive a free YubiKey for two-factor authentication.
