Employee Retention: Putting the Odds in Your Favor, and Southco Tour

The Manufacturing Alliance of Chester and Delaware Counties (MACC/DC) is an initiative of CCEDC and Delaware County Community College and is funded in part by the private sector with grant funding received from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry through the Chester County Workforce Development Board (CCWDB).  The MACC/DC is an industry-led partnership that collectively and collaboratively leverages its combined resources to develop and advance the manufacturing community of southeastern PA.An initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) and Delaware County Community College (DCCC), its mission is to create a strong manufacturing partnership of employers, vendors, and public  partners.

We will then cover the tactical approach to developing and deploying a competency-based people strategy. We will briefly touch on where to start such a program. Attendees will be able to walk away with a better understanding of how all generations are pursuing the same life goals. How and what they pursue is quite different. A competency-centered people strategy makes it possible to allow all generations to reach their goals fairly. The key difference to conventional approaches is the effort that goes into the career, compensation, training, and budget planning, We will cover one area business leaders and their HR departments should start with.
