Planting the Kitchen Garden

The Historical Society of Cheshire County provides 160 programs per year to make history come alive for people of all ages. The Historical Society of Cheshire County headquarters are located at 246 Main Street in Keene, New Hampshire, as well as the Wyman Tavern period house museum, built in 1762.

9am-11am. On the grounds of the Wyman Tavern Museum 
Come help ready the kitchen garden for the season at the Wyman Tavern on Saturday, May 18th from 9-11am. Get your hands dirty by helping to plant herbs and veggies while learning about foods that would have been found in Keene during the 18th century. The herbs and veggies will be used during cooking demonstrations this season. This is a free family-friendly community event. You will even be able to plant a few seeds of your own to take home with you. Families are asked to register.
