A Fair Housing Breakfast with Sara Pratt

The mission of the Fair Housing Center (FHC) is to end discrimination in housing and public accommodations and to promote accessible, integrated communities.We provide investigative services, testing, advice, advocacy, conciliation, attorney referral and community education in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties.FHC staff investigate complaints of illegal housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual harassment), disability, familial status, marital status, age, source of income, student status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression. We also advocate to remove barriers and modify policies in housing on behalf of people with disabilities.

<A HREF="http://www.relmanlaw.com/attorneys/PrattS.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sara Pratt</A>, of Relman, Dane, &amp; Colfax will be our speaker. The title of her talk is "The Role of Fair Housing in Strong Communities." Ms. Pratt practices in the area of fair housing and civil rights, including lending and civil rights compliance. Prior to joining Relman, Dane &amp; Colfax she was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Enforcement and Programs and Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary at the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
The breakfast buffet opens at 8:30, and our program begins at 9.

FAQs
Is my ticket tax-deductible?
The FHC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service. In accordance with IRS rules, we estimate that $32.00 of each $50.00 ticket and $57.00 of each $75.00 ticket is a tax-deductible contribution. The value of the meal served at the event is $18.00.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
A printed ticket is not necessary - please supply your name (and/or the names of your guests) when submitting payment.

Is there anywhere specific to park?
