ACTE 2017: Alabama Book Club

Alabama Council of Teachers of English (ACTE)

The focus of ACTE 2017 "Alabama Book Club" is to explore the role of literature as the centerpiece of English/Language Arts classrooms.  Book clubs are organic celebrations of the word that bring people together and facilitate conversation and debate.  With the book club as our guiding principle, we we'll examine the various dynamics of literature in the classroom--from community builder to pedagogical tool.
