Join us for a walkthrough of Strange Natures, an artist-led zine making workshop, and skate session with the local collective Skate Nymphs!

Join us at Bakehouse for an afternoon of art, community, and skating! This program celebrates <a href="https://www.bacfl.org/exhibitions/strange-natures" title="https://www.bacfl.org/exhibitions/strange-natures" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Strange Natures</a>, currently on view in the Swenson Gallery, through a collaborative zine-making workshop led by Bakehouse artist <a href="https://christine-cortes.com/" title="https://christine-cortes.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Christine Cortes</a> and an outdoor skate session with local collective <a href="https://www.instagram.com/skatenymphs/?hl=en" title="https://www.instagram.com/skatenymphs/?hl=en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Skate Nymphs</a>.🗓 Schedule:1:00 PM – Event starts + check-in1:30 PM – Walkthrough of Strange Natures2:00 PM – Zine workshop: Learn how to transfer images using essential oils and help create a Skate Nymphs Community Zine3:00–6:00 PM – Skate + zine hang on the Bakehouse patio**Skate session is for folks who have skated before; please bring your own gear!📸 Want to include your own images in the zine?Attendees are welcome to submit personal images in advance for printing by emailing them to <a href="" title="" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">christinecortesphotography@gmail.com</a>.🥤 Complimentary bevvies will be served, including yerba mate courtesy of our friends at Yerba Mate!Come through, make art, and skate with us. All are welcome 🫂🫶--Please enter through the pedestrian gate adjacent to the yellow building facing 32nd Street. Free street parking is available on 32nd Street and 6th Avenue. Ride share recommended.
