Following our Paper Trail look at a century of printed ephemera from Howard Levy's collection, we'll bring the conversation into the present and talk about print design today. How do you find and vet a good printer? Have a favorite printer to share? Do you mark up printing costs or pass them direct to clients? How do you manage proofs, press checks, paper selection, and specialty finishes like letterpress or foil stamping on a real-world budget? Come share your go-to vendors, hard-won lessons, and best tips, and bring any print questions or challenges you're facing.
Held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, Spark Power Lunches are an opportunity to openly discuss how to run a designbusiness, and learn solutions direct from successful design business owners in a supportive, transparent setting. Each month’s informal discussion is loosely structured around a topic, but feel free to bring any questions you may have, challenges you are facing, or topics or questions that you’d like to get insight from others.
To maintain a conversational atmosphere, space will be limited to Spark members. Spark members must be logged in to the Spark website in order to see the register link. Once registered, you will receive a link to the private Zoom room. If you have a client, colleague, or vendor that you think would make a good addition to this month’s discussion, email their information to admin@sparkdesignprofessionals.org so we can send them an invitation to register.
