The Alaska Zoo is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting conservation of Arctic, sub-Arctic and like climate species through education, research and community enrichment. Zoo admission tickets purchased online are valid for one use during regular daytime hours from April 1st, 2024 through June 30th, 2024.

Zoo Hours:

  • April hours: 10am-5pm, last entry 4:30pm
  • May hours: 9am-6pm, last entry 5:30pm
  • June hours: 9am-8pm, last entry 7:30pm

Free Shuttle:

We will have a free summer shuttle running with online reservations required. The shuttle will run on select days from May 24th, 2024 through September 1st, 2024. Visit https://www.alaskazoo.org/summer-shuttle-2024 to view the details and reserve your seats. The shuttle runs between 4th and F St. in downtown Anchorage to the zoo and back.

Animal Feeding Experiences and Tours

Plan a visit to the Alaska Zoo this summer and join us for a Daily Animal Feeding Experience or a Guided Tour or VIP Tour on select days between May 27th, 2024 and September 1st, 2024. The feeding experiences and guided tours are purchased at the zoo entrance on the you plan to visit (purchase before program start times). Please visit https://www.alaskazoo.org/summer-animal-feedings-and-tours to view the schedules. The VIP tours are purchased in advance online only.
