What if rejection wasn't the end of the story?Inspired by our current exhibition, REJECTED: Catalyst for Self and Community, this workshop invites you to explore rejection through the intimate, expressive medium of zine-making. Together, we'll reflect on the moments that shaped us: the declined application, the unanswered email, the breakup, the missed opportunity, the work that wasn't selected, or the dream that didn't unfold as planned, and transform those experiences into something meaningful.You'll learn how to create a simple one-sheet, eight-page zine and fill its pages with your own story using collage, drawing, writing, photographs, or found materials. You're welcome to bring personal materials that feel meaningful to you such as old rejection letters, journal pages, photographs, magazine clippings, or other paper ephemera to incorporate into your zine. This is completely optional.If you'd like, you're encouraged to bring materials connected to your experience, such as rejection letters, old emails, journal entries, photographs, sketches, or other meaningful ephemera to incorporate into your zine.Throughout the evening we'll:<ul><li>Learn how to fold and create an 8-page zine from a single sheet of paper</li><li>Explore rejection through writing, collage, and mixed media</li><li>Reflect on how rejection can become a catalyst for growth, resilience, and creativity</li><li>Share (if you'd like) in a supportive, judgment-free environment</li></ul>_________***Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
