Zar-Men Training Program (1st Annual) Charlotte

Zarlun.com is proud to announce our first annual training to support the growth of men ages 18 to 24. This training was inspired by a speech made by Byron Allen on the Grio Awards in 2023 (video above). The goal of this training is to help young men to develop into individuals who contribute positively to society by finding their career passions.

While this era has helped to make social media millionaires at a young age, it has also been a detrimental time for some. The current generation has to face many challenges unknown to previous generations, some examples are online bullying; school and other venue shootings; easy exposure to corruption; and frankly, evil acts that occur in the world; plus the damages caused by the Pandemic. They have been through a lot, but they also helped to catapult America into the social movement; the me-too-movement; and other great social causes.

While working in human resources for a brand name employer with a lot of young employees, a trend was notice that also motivated zarlun.com to create this training program. The goal is to help young men between the ages of 18 to 24 to develop skills that will help them on their way to success.

This program is designed to provide you with a general over view of specific subjects. While it doesn't include the traditional test format, it does confirm that the information was retained for future application through the use of behavioral assessments.

AUDIENCE:

If you are between the ages of 18 and 24, and will have time for our program, we welcome you to apply. If you are enrolled in college, kudos to you, and this program isn't a replacement for college or any post high school education. It's actually for the 18 to 24 year old men who have decided either they need a break from school, or they don't have any plans to go to college.

CLASS FORMAT:

• Reading materials will be online. There may be optional items that are offline, but not required.

FACILITATORS:

• Masters Degree level.
• Experienced corporate professional(s).
• A culmination of experience with the following brands: Ziff Davis Publishing, Stanford University, Hyatt Hotels, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Apple, JP Morgan Chase, ADP, ADT, Muzak (Mood), Trans Union, Dell, Enterprise Rent A Car, Amazon, Direct TV, and United Healthcare.

DATES OF ATTENDANCE:

• The Program is slated to start August 15, 2024 for 8 weeks.
• You will select your time preferences on the application.

GRADUATION:

• Once you pass our requirements to earn a certificate of completion, it will be provided.
• We will hold a formal virtual ceremony.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demographics: 18 to 24 years old males
• Income Restrictions: This program is geared towards males who are in the low to average income range.
• Language: English is required.
• Citizen: U.S. Citizenship (we are a small business, sorry, but we aren't able to Sponsor).
• Background check and fingerprinting. Enrollees are subject to background checks and fingerprinting.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer: desk or laptop or tablet.
• If you only have a mobile phone, you may list that on your application for consideration.

ENROLLMENT:

After we review your Step 1 application, we will contact you via email regarding the next step.

We offer options if you need help with the $50 deposit, $35 is refundable if you graduate from the Program. The remaining $15 is a processing fee.

At this time, this is a nonprofit program, and there aren't any other costs for enrollment.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

Our objective is to share with you the topics listed in the Program Details.

With proper application, it can assist a learner in obtaining a basic foundation to begin a career and/or self-employment.
