About this event

South Asia Institute is proud to present Between Memory and Madness:

Reclaiming Identity, on view from May 1, 2025- May 28, 2025. Zahra Dostmohammed and Siya Kadam, emerging artists graduating from SAIC, explore their shared experiences as first-generation South Asian Americans. Their work, built over the course of their academic journeys, aims to evoke a sense of connection with others who share similar experiences. Through printmaking, drawing, painting, and ceramics, they create works infused with vibrant movement and expressive intensity. They delve into the complex layers of the human experience, reflecting on cherished memories and the elusive ones that shape identity.
