Zach Edwards & The Medicine is a five-piece southern rock/soul/blues band based in Acadiana. With a distinct sound of the south, the band omits electric waves of audible nostalgia paying homage to the greats that came before them (Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors).
Singer-songwriter Zach Edwards started his musical journey at the age of 7 in Houston, Texas. A distant uncle gave him the red Stratocaster you see him play live at shows, only to have said uncle mysteriously vanish and never return. Thus solidifying the young man’s destiny of taking the stage.
The Medicine includes members Hunter Guidry (Drums), Gus Delahoussaye (Keys and Guitar), Austin Thibodeaux (Harmonica, Accordion, guitar, keys), and Benny Amos (Bass)
Each member has a versatile background in music, playing in multiple groups before joining forces as medicine. (The Odd Fellows, Eagle Street, Shane Vanicort and Blues Intruders, Slant Seven, Reaper, and Mojo Black) .
Together this group of individuals creates a medicinal sound, dosing the crowd with the infectious groove guaranteed to make you shake something.
Soulful crooning, mind-altering harmonica and guitar solos, electric organ, and driving bass and drums all come together to awaken your spirit and help you transcend the worries of this world!
