Overview

Z the Difference is all about learning more about your favorite ride!

Join Us for Z the Difference!

The E85/86 was based on the E46. But when you look at them from underneath, they don't look the same at all. BMW started with a solid platform, but then made changes. Why? What makes engineers do what they do? And is an E86 simply an E85 with a hard top?

The guy who knows is Bill Buckley, a former BMW lead who essentially started the Z3 program at Plant Spartanburg and then continued with the Z4s built there. Bill not only has the knowledge but the personality to make it fun and interesting. Who else do you know that's driven a stock E86 on a track at over 180 mph?

We'll have three examples on lifts at Thunder Bunny Racing where he can show you the highlights, explain differences, tell stories, and answer any questions you may have.

This event is free, and we'll start with coffee and doughnuts for our guests. Sign up so we know how much to bring!
