In honor of National Trauma and Mental Health Awareness Month and as part of the #WeHealUs campaign, YW3CA's Trauma and Prevention department offers our ever-popular Restoring Hope: Trauma 101 - An Overview of Trauma Informed Care training.

The research underscores that 67% of the population has encountered at least one Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE). These experiences, rooted in trauma, cast a shadow of potential toxic physical, mental, and social repercussions across a lifetime. As a society and as individuals, it is imperative that we enhance our awareness and readiness to both prevent and address the enduring effects of childhood adversities.

Engage in an immersive multimedia workshop where professionals collaborate to construct a vivid mental tapestry, fostering an understanding of the intricate dynamics of trauma and its aftermath. Trauma 101 presents enlightening revelations, delving into the mechanics of the brain, offering a detailed expedition into comprehending ACEs, and establishing the vital links between ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) associated with later-life health concerns, the Realm of ACEs, brain development, and behavior. Traverse the realms of healthy brain development and witness how trauma curbs growth, thereby influencing belief and behavioral systems.
