Cleveland YPS is an all-volunteer, non-partisan, non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancementand inclusion of young professionals in civic decision making.We are proud of our diverse membership. Our members live on the East Side, on the West Side, Downtown,and in the 'burbs; they work in the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors; they are Democrats, Republicans,and Independents; and while some were born and raised in Cleveland and others loved ourcity so much they decided to move here.Our passion for Cleveland unites us and drives us to make our city a top destinationfor young professionals.

Please join the Cleveland Young Professional Senate at <A HREF="http://clevelandyps.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f0d005bb97b5e877419102a36&id=8e0ac9fa2b&e=37dd23afeb" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Nash</A> on Saturday, May 13, as we take our fifth annual YPCLE Leadership and Empowerment Conference to Slavic Village! While in the past we have brought together community leaders and young professionals to explore topics affecting the broader Cleveland area, this year we have chosen to partner with <A HREF="http://clevelandyps.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f0d005bb97b5e877419102a36&id=5631b35eb6&e=37dd23afeb" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Slavic Village Development </A>to take a deeper look at the assets that make this historic neighborhood unique, and the great efforts underway to address its challenges.
  We will kick off the day around 9:00am with an introduction to the Slavic Village neighborhood by Jacqueline Gillon. Then we will hold panel discussions about how the neighborhood’s historic cultural fabric influences its future, how it continues to recover after being hard hit by the foreclosure crisis, how residents can become politically empowered, and how access to transportation affects neighborhood connectivity. Following lunch, we will wrap up the day with a keynote panel discussion about how all of these issues will shape the future of Slavic Village and how young professionals can be a part of it.   Registration for what is sure to be an exciting and empowering day exploring this culturally diverse neighborhood is $5 with lunch provided for all attendees. We also ask all attendees to bring a book (new or used) to donate to support Slavic Village’s Little Free Library network, the largest in the City! FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Car: The Nash is located at 3563 E 80th St, Cleveland, OH 44105.  There are two parking lots on other side of the building where you can park.
Bike: The Nash is right off of the Morgana Run Trail. It's about 4.5 miles from Downtown. Google Maps provides wonderful directions.  We will have a place inside for bikes to be stored. We'll also be providing a free code to UH Bikes to all our attendees to use anytime!
Public Transportation: From Downtown, the Route 15 bus will drop you off at the corner of Union Ave and East 80th. Only 2 blocks from The Nash.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No
Can I buy my ticket at the door?
We would prefer you purchase your ticket ahead of time so that the registration line can move quickly the day of the event.  If needed, you can register at the event but we are unable to accept cash.
What other items do I need to know?
While we will have bottles of water, we would love it if everyone brought their own water bottle to help reduce waste.  We will have water stations.
