Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults working with young people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents (ages 6 -18). Individuals will learn how to respond in both non-crisis and crisis situations. This is an all day in-person training with limited capacity. The training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10th. Participants will be dismissed for a 30 minute break for lunch. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or choose from one of the many restaurants in the near vicinity. Registration is required. Recommended parking for this event is off of N. Willow Street. This training will take place in the fellowship hall of Springfield Baptist Church. This training is being offered for FREE thanks to the following community partners who have donated time and/or resources to ensure this training occurs: Robertson County Health Department, Springfield Baptist Church, Mighty Oak Christian Mental Health Services, and Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network.
