Overview

Step into the shoes of youth living in Des Moines by participating in an engaging simulation for community organizations!

The City of Des Moines Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is organizing a Youth Experience Simulation on Friday, April 24, where community organizations will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the youth living within the City of Des Moines. This interactive and thought-provoking simulation is designed to provide participants with a firsthand experience of the daily struggles and decisions that our youth encounter.

The primary goal of this event is to enhance empathy and understanding among service providers about the unique challenges faced by the youth in our city. By immersing yourself in their experiences, we believe that you will gain valuable insights that can inform and improve the services and support your organization provides, while also fostering collaboration between organizations.

Lunch is sponsored by a community supporter.
