Overview

Step into the shoes of youth living in Des Moines by participating in an engaging simulation for community organizations!

The City of Des Moines Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is hosting their third Annual Youth Experience Simulation (YES) on Friday, April 24th where community members will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the youth, and ways they navigate services and resources in our community. This interactive and thought-provoking simulation is designed to provide adult participants with a firsthand experience of the daily struggles and decisions that our youth encounter.

The primary goal of this event is to enhance empathy and understanding among community leaders and service providers about the unique challenges faced by the youth in our city. By immersing yourself in their experiences, we believe that you will gain valuable insights that can inform and improve the services and support community organizations provide, while also fostering collaboration between organizations.

Lunch is sponsored by a community supporter.
