The Oyster Bay Historical Society will be engaging adolescents in a pilot "Youth Drone Operator Program."

The Oyster Bay Historical Society has decided to engage our youth in learning about the various historical structures within the hamlet of Oyster Bay. Understanding the architectural and historical significance of these edifices are relevant to the ongoing preservation and maintenance of these beautiful structures.The Oyster Bay Historical Society will be engaging adolescents in a pilot &quot;Youth Drone Operator Program&quot; to give them an opportunity to learn the importance of these distinct antiquated buildings through the eyes of technology. This program will enable youth to learn a specific skill of operating a device that can take beautiful pictures of these structures from various angles and dimensions.Our youth will also have the opportunity of looking into our archives to select areas that might interest them and learn of their connection to the past. This program is taught by a skilled instructor that will provide classes on Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm-6pm in the courtyard at the Oyster Bay Historical Society.A $65.00 registration fee is required, and limited spaces are currently available. A certificate will be provided to each student at the completion of the training.
