Feeble Flame premieres its first signature production, You’re Doing It Wrong!, at The Studio at Portland Playhouse, October 23–25. Supported by a Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant and the Regional Arts & Culture Council, the forty-minute handmade puppet comedy follows a bird who can’t build a proper nest, but is determined to protect her egg anyway. This is a show about failing and finding your own way to care for what matters, made by artists who know that feeling all too well.
Feeble Flame’s You’re Doing It Wrong! is funded in part by the Jim Henson Foundation and the Regional Arts & Culture Council and the Office of Arts & Culture, with additional support from Portland Playhouse.
ABOUT FEEBLE FLAME
Handmade theater for everyone who has ever felt like the instructions were written for somebody else.
You’re Doing It Wrong! is Feeble Flame’s first signature production. Feeble Flame is a Portland theater company founded by Ora Fruchter and Sarah Smith, whose handmade, interactive shows for all ages make heroes of the ones who cannot do what everyone else seems to do naturally. The work is funny, tender, and openly imperfect, and it is built so that nobody in the room has to get it right.
