Empathy is much more than simply “feeling deeply.” It holds a transformative power to heal ourselves, deepen our intuition, strengthen our relationships, and amplify our purpose. Join Judith Orloff, MD, author of the new book The Genius of Empathy: Practical Skills to Heal Your Sensitive Self, Your Relationships and the World, for an exploration of how empathy is a superpower for transformative personal healing, deeper relationships, and more potent work in the world.

Dr. Orloff will take you beyond the typical definition of empathy to teach you how it can bridge differences and foster tolerance and understanding. In this workshop you’ll be trained in the art of empathic listening, how to stop overthinking, and the importance of setting healthy boundaries and loving detachment to prevent overwhelm, burnout, and more.

Drawing on insights from neuroscience, psychology, and energy medicine, Dr. Orloff shows us how to access our sensitivities, soothe and heal our nervous system, and stop absorbing the emotions of others. She begins with the magic of empathy to find greater self-love and healing, including from trauma.

Participants will learn:

· The difference between empathy, compassion, and being an empath

· The four styles of empathy: What is intuitive empathy?

· The healing art of self-empathy

· Specific “empathy statements” to enhance communication skills

· How to practice empathy for loved ones, friends, and colleagues... even if you don’t like someone

· Healthy Giving: caring without being a martyr or burning out

· Strategies to successfully leave a toxic relationship

Registration includes a free copy of Dr. Orloff’s new book The Genius of Empathy: Practical Skills to Heal Yourself & Your Relationships! (postage included within continental United States)
