This is a FREE community event. Family Fun, Local Merchants, Musical Performances, Food, History, Education, Guest Speakers, and more. This annual festival continues the tradition of the oldest African American Holiday, celebrating the Emancipation Proclamation and the end of slavery in the United States.

This year’s Juneteenth is sponsored by the Yolo County Library, UC Davis Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, City of Davis Human Relations Commission and Cultural Arts Program, Friends of the Davis Public Library, and the Yolo County Office of Education.

Visit our wonderful merchants, Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen, and food trucks and booths starting at 10 a.m. The program starts at 11:30 a.m.The UC Davis Activities & Recreation Center is located off of Russell Blvd, and all parking is FREE. The event is inside, so you can enjoy the day regardless of the weather.

Yolo Juneteenth is a committee of an annual family friendly event to promote and cultivate knowledge and appreciation of African American heritage and history. Yolo Juneteenth occurs in the first Sunday in June, before the national holiday, which occurs in June 19.
