Hatha Yoga & Alexander Technique fusion. 2-hour workshop
Attention in Action
This mixed ability class is for people at any level, from beginners through to experienced enthusiasts interested in a fresh perspective on their yoga practice. We wish to create a welcoming environment for adults of all ages and backgrounds, and the LGBTQ+ community .
We will explore bringing quiet observation into our bodies. Each yoga pose will be broken down thoughtfully to find freedom and ease through attention to balance, gravity and awareness.
Having worked together for over 2 years, Dan and Gregg feel their collaborative approach creates a welcoming, non-competitive environment, and provides a light-hearted, safe and open space where you can explore and challenge your physicality at your own pace.
Dan is a BSY-qualified yoga instructor, and delivers classes in Brighton (one-to-one, group, private) with a focus on body awareness, the purpose and mechanics behind our movements and postures, and whether they are beneficial, achievable, enjoyable. Alongside his yoga, Dan is a languages teacher, a teacher trainer, a masseur and director of a social work business.
As an Alexander Technique (AT) teacher, Gregg has worked extensively with all kinds of people including professional actors, musicians and athletes, helping them improve their performance, relieve stress and pain, and prevent injury. He has also worked for many years training other AT teachers in Brighton and London. He is a personal trainer, massage therapist and classical guitar teacher.
