    Description:

Yoga is an ancient practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. This M1 series is an introduction to Yoga techniques, focusing on increasing relaxation and discovering how to breathe and move without additional pain or distress. This practice includes slow-paced, gentle movements coordinated with breath, followed by a breathing practice and meditation. Both standing and lying positions will be included and modifications will be individualized for each student’s needs. This class is suitable for those new to the practice of Yoga, and for those with some physical limitations and/or in recovery.

All Osher Movement Classes are facilitated by an instructor with experience and specific training working with participants with chronic pain and conditions.

This class is a part of our "M1" Suitability Code Category on our Movement Class Suitability Guide (see below).

M1 classes are suitable for those with some physical limitations and those new to the practice.
