About your Instructor:

Melissa has been practicing yoga since 2005. She initially sought out yoga to compliment her rigorous workout routines. She was diagnosed with chronic migraines in 2010. Looking to help ease her discomfort she turned to her yoga practice to potentially help. After consistently attending yoga classes she was reminded of it's benefits - physical strength and mental clarity. Yoga and meditation helped ease her pain from chronic migraines, as a result she was able to rely less on her medication. Her consistent yoga practice ultimately led her to be migraine free. After a few years of a dedicated yoga practice, she was inspired to sign up for yoga teacher training. Her intention was to become a more informed practitioner and not actually teach yoga. After completing her yoga teacher training in 2015, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. Her intention was not only to share her love for yoga, but share her story of how it helped her and hopes it will inspire others who suffer from any chronic conditions with pain to consider it as a helpful tool.

Melissa is also certified in Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga, Children's Yoga and is a Reiki Practitioner. In her classes, she reminds her students to set an intention, find their edge and create space, because there is always room for more, on and off the mat. Her classes are creative, grounding, meditative and free flowing, filled with great beats and great vibes.
