Welcome to the YES! Explorers Challenge - the ultimate adventure for scientists and explorers!
Step up the kid-friendly adventure challenge with STEAM Stations for 5-12 year olds! As you work your way through the course, stop at each interactive STEAM station to complete exciting science activities. Collect stamps on your Explorer Passport and discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Complete the challenge and become an official YES! Explorer—ready to ignite your curiosity and explore the world of STEAM!

Frequently asked questions

Do I drop off my child for the event?

This is a family friendly event so parents should stay and watch their children explore and learn with the fun STEAM activities that we have for the event!

What are the activities?

There are 5 YES! stations including making your own foam engraving, zoetrope animation, circuit bugs, kaleidoscopes, and bow and arrow while learning about the science behind your creations! There will also be a fighter jet simulator, DJ, and selfie photobooth.

The suggested ages say 5-12, is this strictly enforced?

While this is the target age range that the activities were designed, you know your children best! Maybe they are more advanced and are ready for a challenge or an older kid who still loves all things science! We trust your judgement on if you feel it is right for your child!

Can I bring along a younger sibling?

Please do! Although they may not be ready for the designated YES! activities, we also have 5 of our nonprofit partners attending who will have activities for younger kids at no charge! And everyone enjoys getting out to the park, listening to music, and having fun!

Will there be food at the event?

We will not have meal items but there will be small snacks and beverages for purchase at our snack and beverage table as well as a water table to fill your waterbottles!
