Yachstronomy
Embark on a luxurious journey through the golden age of smooth music.
The third voyage of Yachtstronomy launches Friday, June 5th, right as summer clicks into place.
What started as a smooth mix of yacht rock, cold beer, retro-futurism, and cosmic vibes has evolved into a new monthly hangout spot in Kendall.
By now, Captain Juan Luv recognizes the faces. The crew knows the feeling. Every first Friday, the lights dim, the lava lamps glow, and Rocketeer Beer transforms into something else—like the hidden marina spot Toto would’ve played after-hours in 1982.
The soundtrack sails from yacht rock essentials into deep smooth cuts, sunset grooves, and late-night slow burns smoother than a Michael McDonald harmony drifting across open water. Christopher Cross is somewhere in the distance. Kenny Loggins just ordered another round. The basslines offer a smooth, buttery sound. The saxophones practically require boat shoes.
And before long, it happens again: Nobody’s checking the time. Nobody wants to leave. Somebody remembers every word to “Rosanna.” The entire room feels like the end credits of a summer movie nobody wants to end.
Maybe that’s the magic of Yachtstronomy.
Every first Friday, we have liftoff. The signal’s out there. All you have to do is answer. 🚀⚓️🌊✨
