About this event

Join us for the NRVR Certified Trainer Course, an exciting online event that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a certified trainer. This course will offer indepth teachings of the XR Therapy System that will equip you with the skills to become an expert on the device and be able to train other users that use it for theraputic purposes. Throughout this course you will be instucted on software and hardware the device has, application usages for different injuries/diseases, and forms of equipment that is compatible with the device. Also, you will be informed of the research used behind the development of VR for therapy and what benefits VR can offer. By the end of this course you will be feeling confident and properly informed on how to use the XR Therapy System and what techniques to show others for proper usage.

Measurable Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

1. Understand the Software and Hardware the device has.

2. Discuss proposed therapy usages.

3. Understand what the proper steps to set up a patient are.

4. Create exercise plans based on patient demogrpahic and goals of individuals.

5. Apply VR to a diverse patient population.

Speaker Bios:

Drew Stover - Clinical Specialist

Through his work within the Neuro Rehab space, he has developed a passion for

helping others and become dedicated to optimizing physical well-being and pushing the

boundaries of potential. His mission is to assist clinicians with more efficient and

engaging ways to treat patients in civility and in the military with the use of Virtual

Reality. He is a Neurological Rehabilitation Specialist and has two years of clinical

experience primarily working with individuals affected by spinal cord injuries (SCI),

traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and stroke. Also, he has experience as a former Exercise

Physiologist where I learned how to incorporate cardiac health into the populations he

currently oversees. Alongside rehabilitation, he has 4 years of experience training

athletes with some time spent at the Division 1 level, focusing on strength and

conditioning as well as injury prevention. Throughout his career he will continue to

chase higher human performance in all facets.

The platform consists of virtual reality applications and exercises for physical and occupational therapy, neurological rehabilitation, cognitive training, stress, anxiety, and overall wellness. Games customize for every patients' specific needs and ability with real time data feedback to measure, quantify, and track patient progress. Virtual reality applications and exercises are designed for therapeutic activity and neuromuscular reeducation, and focus on upper and lower extremity training, core, balance improvement, and more.
