Do I need any previous design, research, or technical experience?

No. Everyone is welcome and we'll be exploring a broad range of interesting problems and solutions but none will require anything other than LIVED experience (meaning, actual history with the problem or solution you are thinking about).

What materials do I have to bring with me?

Each team is encouraged to have at least one person with a computer or tablet, but no technology or equipment is required for attendees to participate in the weekend.

What am I building/pitching at the end of the hackathon?

You'll be competing on ideas that have been vetted by real (potential) customers or prospects of the idea. In the end, we'll be pitching stories and visions of where we could potential build something that would have an impact around the region (which doesn't mean it needs to be technology)

Can I bring my team with me?

Yes. You can bring your friends and colleagues to form a team, or you can build one from the people you'll meet at the event.
