This training will focus on the concept of Self-Compassion as being "kind and understanding” to oneself when faced with one's own personal failings. Differences between self-esteem and self-compassion are explored in addition to providing participants with practical tools to begin practicing self-compassion on a daily basis.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn the definition of self-compassion​

2. Learn the definition of self-esteem and how it differs from self-compassion

3. Review some of the research on self-compassion​

4. Understand the importance of self-compassion for maintaining mental health​

5. Learn about self-compassion practices that can improve self-care, self-esteem and overall mental wellness

This event is for residents and/ or service providers to residents of Orange County, California only.

Please note that we will no longer admit new participants after 15 minutes into the presentation due to the impact on the training process, information being shared and current participants.

There is a minimum registration requirement of 10 participants in order for this training to be facilitated. If there are fewer than 10 participants, the training will be rescheduled for the upcoming month. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
