If you are a retuning Summer Dance Academy participant, supporting parent or guardian, or a prospective newcomer, I thank you for your interest in the WVU School of Theatre & Dance 2024 Summer Dance Academy (SDA). On behalf of all of us who make SDA happen from year-to-year, I welcome you to our website. This year marks the 14th year for SDA. We were back in full swing last year with a well-attended in-person week of classes and dance activities. We look forward to another exciting and stimulating week of dance this summer. As in past years, we will be presenting a wide variety of classes. In keeping with our mission, we will continue to have a lineup of classes taught by gifted and experienced faculty that include members of the WVU Dance Program and guest artists from far and near.
In keeping with our tradition, this summer promises to be a week packed with dance and creativity. I invite you to take a moment and read through the following information about our lineup of classes, workshops and activities. I hope that you will find a program that best suits your dance aspirations or that of your young dancer. Please feel free to share the site with others who might also be interested in joining us.
