ATTIRE

• Participants must bring with them (not wear to the facility) clean running shoes. By clean we mean no dirt, grit, pebbles, etc. in the soles of the shoes. Street shoes will be removed in the change rooms.

• To check for appropriate shoe grip, place the shoe on a table; place hand inside the shoe and apply pressure downward and away from you (mimicking body-weight). If there is some slip-stick to the shoe as it moves away from you, the sole of the shoe should provide you with sufficient grip on the ice.

• Average arena temperature is 4C; participants should dress in layers and then adjust accordingly to the comfort.

• We recommend that jeans/slacks not be worn while curling; warm-up pants/sweats allow for greater ease of stretching and comfort.

• One knee pad could be considered for new curlers.

• Wear a smile!
