WTF CON 21

The National Women's Theatre Festival (WTF) is a group of artists who seek to address gender parity, diversity, & inclusion in the theatre community. While we began as a women specific group of creators, we have realized and recognized that in order to truly work for and achieve gender parity, we must be committed to representing all historically excluded genders. Our name reflects our original intent, but we are committed to more than just cis women. We are committed to any theatre artist who does not feel their gender has been equitably represented either on stage or off in a traditional theatre space. We welcome you, we want to hear your story, and we want to see you on our stage.

Invest in accessible training this summer with Women’s Theatre Festival’s official conference track, WTFCon 21! Spend July 12th–23th in conversation with industry professionals, educators, parents, and artists from all backgrounds, offering the perfect opportunity to network and educate yourself in any of the following areas: Gender, Equity, Justice, and Accessibility; Technical Theatre, Design, and Stagecraft; Performance, Playwriting, and Directing; Arts Administration, Producing, and Casting; Parent Artists, Caregiver Support, and Care For Artists; Virtual Theatre and TransMedia; and Evolving Pedagogy and Practice. Spend several days fine tuning your craft or getting a thorough crash course in a brand new area of study.The Concurrent Series: Pack your afternoons with informative single sessions, soaking up as much content as you can!Keynote Conversations: Hear firsthand from top industry professionals on invoking change in our industry. Connector Sessions: Expand your theatre community across borders by networking and forging connections with other Festival 21 attendees.Tracks: Interested in delving into your development as an actor, director, playwright, technician, or administrator? Spend your time focused on role-specific training!COSTWTF Con 21 ticket options include an All Access Pass, a 2, 3, or 5 Day Intensive Pass, a 3 Session Pass, or a single event.All tickets are Pay-What-You-Can. Tickets automatically default to face value, but all patrons are welcome to select the Promo Code that brings the ticket cost within their budget. Promo Codes are listed in the description for each ticket. In the event that all Promo Codes for your ticket type have been used, you are welcome to select a DONATION ticket type to PWYC and claim it as an All Access Pass.ACCESSIBILITYWTF is committed to providing the most accessible and inclusive experience possible to all patrons and artists. We invite all patrons and artists with access needs to contact us to make an accommodation or request by emailing info@womenstheatrefestival.com. If you&#x27;d like to request ASL interpretation or Live Transcription for a specific WTF Con session, please give us as much notice as possible (preferrably 1-2 weeks) to arrange the service.Sessions that will have ASL or Live Transcription will be designated in Sched. Zoom auto-captioning will be available for all WTF Con sessions and a live attendant will be in every session to help support tech and other access needs.Following incredibly successful, all-virtual festivals with the Summer Festival in July 2020 and Occupy the Stage in November 2020, Festival 21 intends to embrace the innovative and experimental use of virtual platforms; prioritize accessibility; and create conversations furthering equity and justice in theatre communities and beyond. Like the rest of Festival 21, WTFCon 21 will center Women, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, and Trans artists; and feature Diverse, Black, Indigenous, POC, Global Majority, &amp; Disabled, Deaf, and Neuro-Diverse artists.
