WTF CON 21: Asynchronous Viewing!

The National Women's Theatre Festival (WTF) is a group of artists who seek to address gender parity, diversity, & inclusion in the theatre community. While we began as a women specific group of creators, we have realized and recognized that in order to truly work for and achieve gender parity, we must be committed to representing all historically excluded genders. Our name reflects our original intent, but we are committed to more than just cis women. We are committed to any theatre artist who does not feel their gender has been equitably represented either on stage or off in a traditional theatre space. We welcome you, we want to hear your story, and we want to see you on our stage.

Most of our CON sessions from Festival 21 were recorded and are now available for asynchronous viewing - purchase your pay what you can ticket here and now!We spent July 12th–23th in conversation with industry professionals, educators, parents, and artists from all backgrounds, offering the perfect opportunity to network and educate yourself in any of the following areas: Gender, Equity, Justice, and Accessibility; Technical Theatre, Design, and Stagecraft; Performance, Playwriting, and Directing; Arts Administration, Producing, and Casting; Parent Artists, Caregiver Support, and Care For Artists; Virtual Theatre and TransMedia; and Evolving Pedagogy and Practice. Following incredibly successful, all-virtual festivals with the Summer Festival in July 2020 and Occupy the Stage in November 2020, Festival 21 embraces the innovative and experimental use of virtual platforms; prioritizes accessibility; and creates conversations furthering equity and justice in theatre communities and beyond. Like the rest of Festival 21, WTFCon 21 will center Women, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, and Trans artists; and feature Diverse, Black, Indigenous, POC, Global Majority, &amp; Disabled, Deaf, and Neuro-Diverse artists.
