<p>Clear, compelling, and strategic communication is crucial for change, and writing is one important avenue for sharing scientific ideas and new information. But it can feel daunting to write something that’s scientifically accurate, easy to understand, impactful and interesting for readers who don’t have a science background. We can help.&nbsp;</p><p>In this 3-hour virtual workshop, we’ll support you as you plan out how you’re going to strategically share your key messages in your writing, so that you can achieve your science communication goals. The workshop will be a combination of facilitated group discussion, content presentation, and paired activities in breakout rooms. </p><p>By registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to use a webcam during discussion and breakout room portions of the workshop. Please also commit to actively participating for the benefit of yourself and the group. Due to the progression of materials presented and the paired exercises, we cannot admit participants who are more than 15 minutes late. <h4>Who could benefit from this workshop?</h4><p>This workshop is open to anyone who would like to learn how to enhance their writing and editing skills for sharing scientific ideas and information.</p>

<h4><strong><strong>Technology</strong></strong></h4><p>The workshop will be held on the video conferencing platform Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with the platform, this <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFhAEoCF7jg" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFhAEoCF7jg" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">one-minute video</a> explains how to join a meeting. You will need a webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection. Recommended upload/download speed is 5Mbps/5Mbps.
