Using fiction to deal with trauma and using trauma to make good fiction
Writing & Trauma
Join Colorado Springs author, Christina Bergling, for an in-person workshop at Novis Mortem Collective to explore the powerful connection between writing and healing from trauma.
Fiction writing offers a way to approach trauma with a buffer. Through different approaches, you can incorporate your own experience into new stories where you control the ending.
Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just curious, this event offers a safe space to share, reflect, and discover how putting words on paper can help process tough experiences. We will talk about books that deal with trauma and do writing exercises to experiment with the different ways to use trauma in writing.
Notebooks will be provided.
Come as you are. You can share your stories or just listen. This is a community event about healing and expression.
