Will I have the option to work on my own project?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Though I provide two to three warm up questions to get you started and at least three prompts for the longer writing period, you are welcome to use the time to work on something you have already started or any other writing that feels inspiring.

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

I do not offer refunds after the session has ended. If you let me know me know that you will be unable to attend 24 hrs ahead, I can offer you a place in another session.

Question 3

What are the prompts like?

Creating the prompts is one of my favorite parts of this! Prompts may be a question, a piece of music, an image, a poem, or a literary quote. I also make handmade cards with the prompts written on them so you have them by your side as you write.

Question 4

What are some of the themes you have used in the past?

I intentionally choose broad themes to inspire conversation and accommodate a wide range of writing styles.   Some that I have used in the past are solitude, desire, childhood, wonder, and contradictions/oppositions.

How many people are in the session?

Accepted Answer

The workshops are designed for ten participants. I take pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment and making sure that everyone is heard.

Question 6

What time should I arrive?/ What if I'm late?

Accepted Answer

We will meet in front of 72 rue Riquet before going upstairs on the elevator. Please arrive no later than 10:45am, which is 15 minutes before start time so that we can enter together and start promptly. I cannot welcome you if you are late as it may distract the writing time.
