What do you do on a Write and Hike retreat?

While every retreat is different, each consists of: 1) Writing prompts before and during the retreat; 2) Somatic mindfulness techiques to connect more deeply to the natural world; 3) Movement (walking or hiking); 4) A beautiful place in nature; 5) Group sharing and connection

How strenuous is the hike?

In this retreat, we have two sections, which are dependent on your activity level. Waterfalls 1 and 2 are short-distance (under 0.5 miles RT for each waterfall, with minimal elevation loss/gain). The 3rd waterfall is for more active folks who are comfortable with 1.5 miles RT with a decent hill.

Do I have to be a writer to do this retreat?

Most attendees have journaled some but do not consider themselves "writers", and a few have never written anything at all! Our writing prompts are for folks of all levels of writing experience.
