A creative who loves to “art” in word + sound, she surrenders to both to express + heal . rumi ryan is an artist/poet living in Richmond, Va. As creative lead at Black Author Brand, she works with authors to develop polished literary work that captivates with imagery and creative storytelling. thoughts + pieces, an interactive book of poetry, is her debut collection. She creates to engage the mind, open/stimulate the imagination + sit in that space of emotion with you. rumi's unique approach to art combines several modalities including poetry, music, conversation, and visuals.
