A workshop combining writing for wellbeing and conscious breathing to reconnect to yourself and the world around you.

Write &amp; Breathe uses writing-for-wellbeing techniques, some of which have been scientifically proven to be beneficial to physical and mental wellness.The workshop is not about craft, but about allowing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations to flow onto the page unhindered. This means that we're not concerned with grammar, spelling, punctuation and the like. You don't have to "know" how to write in order to participate. I will provide a series of prompts centered around a theme, and keep time while you write. Writing times are intentionally short to help cut through the inner censor and encourage spontaneity.Sharing what you've written is strictly optional, and there is no feedback or critique of your writing if you do share – only attentive listening.The writing spurts are interspersed with conscious breathing exercises, to increase our physicality and awareness.We'll meet on Jitsi, a free, secure, user-friendly video-conferencing platform.

What you'll need:<ul><li>a working internet connection</li><li>a pen and notebook (writing on electronic devices is ok too)</li><li>a place where you will be relatively undisturbed for one hour</li></ul>When you register by making a donation, you'll be asked for your email address. On the day of the workshop, you'll receive a link to the online "meeting space." Check your spam!
